Blood Parameters in Human Fetuses with Congenital Malformations and Normal Karyotype

چکیده
The acid-base balance (pH, pCO2, bicarbonate concentration) and the oxygenation level of the fetuses (pO2, SaO2) were evaluated on umbilical venous blood (UVB), taken by cordocentesis. At the same time, the glucose, lactate, free fatty acid, aceto-acetate, betahydroxybutyrate and cholesterol concentrations were measured, being essential biochemical constituents in relation to the nutritional status.

[Increased fetal nuchal translucency thickness and normal karyotype: prenatal and postnatal follow-up].
OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to evaluate pregnancy and postnatal outcomes of fetuses with increased nuchal translucency thickness (NT) and normal karyotype. METHODS Two hundred seventy five fetuses with increased NT were examined with karyotyping analysis, serial ultrasound scans, echocardiography and postnatal clinical and genetic evaluation at the Fetal Medicine Unit - Department of ...
متن کاملSignificance of cardiac defects in the developing fetus: a study of spontaneous abortuses.
We investigated the impact of heart defects on the developing human fetus by examining 412 hearts from consecutive spontaneous abortuses. In each case, the cardiac morphology was correlated with the autopsy findings and the karyotype (unavailable in 115 hearts not successfully cultured). Of the 412 hearts, 10 (2.4%) contained structural defects (six ventricular septal defects, one atrial septal...
متن کاملCardiorenal Syndrome is Present in Human Fetuses with Severe, Isolated Urinary Tract Malformations
OBJECTIVE We analyzed the association between renal and cardiovascular parameters in fetuses with isolated severe urinary tract malformations. METHODS 39 fetuses at a mean gestational age of 23.6 weeks with nephropathies or urinary tract malformations and markedly impaired or absent renal function were prospectively examined. Fetal echocardiography was performed, and thicknesses of the interv...
متن کاملP-26: The Effects of Interferon-Gamma onCarbamazepine-Induced Fetal Malformations inMouse Fetus
Background: One in every 250 newborns is exposed to antiepileptic drugs, inutero .The risk of congenital malformations in newborns, prenatally exposed to antiepileptic drugs (AEDs), is around 5% which is 2 to 2.5 times that of general population; while carbamazepine (CBZ) and valproate (VPA) still provide the treatment of choice in most forms of epilepsy, being efficacious in approximately two-...
متن کاملDetection of chromosomal abnormalities and the 22q11 microdeletion in fetuses with congenital heart defects.
Chromosomal abnormalities and the 22q11 microdeletion are implicated in congenital heart defects (CHDs). This study was designed to detect these abnormalities in fetuses and determine the effect of genetic factors on CHD etiology. Between January 2010 and December 2011, 113 fetuses with CHD treated at the Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital were investigated, using chromosome karyotyping...
